Posture Classes


We offer posture classes on a regular basis.  These classes help improve posture, thereby helping control pain.  Our next classes are

Tuesday December 20, 7:00 PM

Yoga Classes – Saturdays at 9:00 AM.  Call to reserve a spot!

Core Stabilization Classes – Saturdays at 10:15. Call to verify.

  Community Service
Our therapists volunteer each year for the ACMS and High School Physical Committee for sports physicals performing spinal checks/scoliosis screening.  Last year the fundraiser brought in $22,000 for high school sports medicine programs.

Physical Therapy 180 is pleased to host Boise School District Community Education for the Spring session of 2012.  We have rallied many volunteers in the community and we are excited about the curriculum. We will be hosting the presentations at our own facility: 5909 W State Street, Boise, ID. Evenings from 7-8:30 pm

Tuesday, May 1,  Self-Hypnosis:  Developing A Positive Internal Dialogue  – We all know we need to think more positively, but how to do it?  This class teaches you direct methods to create positive thoughts which then creates positive results in your life. 7 PM to 8:30 PM Instructor Lelelewa Tano Rikiho

Tuesday, May 8,  Gastro Intestinal Function, the Basis of our Health  - Maintenance of the health of our GI tract is crucial to our body’s ability to digest and utilize nutrients.  We will discuss natural approaches to keep our GI system in good shape, as well as common issues like IBS, reflux, IBD gas/bloating, and more. 7 PM to 8:30 PM  Instructor:  Dr. Laura Glenn

Tuesday, May 15  Nutrition 101: Let’s Get It Right  -This class will help you understand the basics and benefits of a plant based diet to help with weight control, overall fitness and prevention of disease. 7 PM to 8:30 PM   Instructor: Jane Barton

Thursday, May 23 Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Prevention  - Learn ways to relieve stress on the median nerve.  This is the nerve on the wrist that supplies feeling and movement to parts of the hand, leading to numbness, tingling, weakness, or muscle damage in the hand and  fingers.  7 PM to 8:30 PM  Instructor:  Jill Thompson PT

Tuesday, May 29,  Healing with Homeopathy  - Homeopathy is a unique system of medicine based on the concept “like cures like.”  Learn about this gentle, side-effect free form of treatment, and begin with basic steps for   learning how to choose the best suited remedy for common conditions.  7 PM to 8:30 PM  Instructor:  Dr. Laurra Glenn
